Our Staff
Ms. Richards
Ms. Richards, the Owner and Director of Adventure Camp, is also a dedicated kindergarten teacher at Daniel Bagley Elementary School. Her favorite part of camp is working with children in the great outdoors, watching them have fun, make friends, and create lasting memories. What she cherishes most, however, is reconnecting with alumni campers year after year, witnessing their growth and transformation into the unique and amazing individuals they are.
Mr. W
As a passionate health and physical educator, William Weigel enjoys introducing and teaching his students a wide variety health and movement concepts. He has been teaching at Daniel Bagley since January 2019. William grew up in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He earned his bachelor’s degree in health and physical education at Old Dominion University and his master’s degree in adapted physical education at Texas Women’s University. In his free time, you will be finding him skiing, surfing, and training jiujitsu. Adventure Camp gives campers a unique opportunity to be physically active in safe and beautiful setting. There is nothing like having the Olympic Mountains in the back ground while campers play a wide variety of games and activities.
Mrs. Syversten
Carrie Syvertsen, is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in her 21st year of working as a School Social Worker, and in her 8th year at Robert Eagle Staff Middle School. Her whole career has been in Middle Schools and High Schools with the focus of mental health and wellness, relationship-building, highlighting and fostering the strengths we each bring to our communities and developing leadership skills with youth. When she's not working, she is often on the sidelines of the multiple sports of her two boys, ages 12 and 15. She loves to venture into the mountains, play in the water, attend as many live music shows (and rock out a little in her family band too!). In her free time, she loves to spend time with friends, cook, yoga, trail run and travel to explore new and exciting places. This is her third year as the Counselor Lead and support at Adventure Camp. What she loves about the camp is Counselors and Campers have enough structure for safety and support, while also leaving space for kids and teens to explore, create, and express their unique selves. Her own kids loved camp as campers and now love it in their more recent role as Counselors.
Indi R.
Indi, a 9th grader at Mountlake Terrace High School, is an athlete who enjoys soccer, track, skateboarding, and snowboarding. Passionate about science, animals, and the outdoors, this is her 10th year at Adventure Camp. Indi loves helping campers, playing games on the field, and leading beach cleanups.
